Picking the right pictures:

Make sure that you choose pictures that tell a story.  Remember that you are in a sense preparing to have a movie made out of your pictures.  You want it to be as entertaining and as eye pleasing as possible. 
 

Picking the right music:

Pick music that does two things.  First make sure that the music you pick goes with the pictures that you are using, i.e. using Christmas music with Christmas pictures.  Second, try to pick a song that has meaning to you or the person that the show is about or for.  Doing these two things will make the show more enjoyable for you to watch over and over.
 

Arranging your pictures:

Arrange the pictures in the order that you want them to be viewed.  For example, if you are doing a show about a child, arrange the slides in a way that the child grows throughout the show.  This takes your show to a whole new level and can let you watch your baby grow up over and over again.
 

How to design chapters:

It is our recommendation that you use chapters in length from 6 to12 min each.  Keeping your chapters at this length will make each show enjoyable to watch, while keeping it short enough that it will keep the attention of those watching it.  We take great pride in creating a show that is pleasing for all to watch, and one that keeps people wanting to see more.  We can fit multiple chapters on one DVD. This allows you to keep the chapters to a reasonable length.  We also recommend that you design theme-based chapters.  Example: separate chapters for multiple children, weddings, vacations, family pictures, and holidays.
 

Captions:

Captions are a simple way to add what you want to say into a show.  We can either put the captions on a blank slide or we can overlay it on a picture.  We often see this used for birth dates.
 

Special effects:

As you can see from our demo show, we are able to do special effects with your pictures.  The two most commonly used are the cube and the puzzle effects.  These effects are built especially for your show.  These pictures will spend more time on your screen than any others, so you want to pick your favorite pictures for these effects.  With the Cube Effect, you will need to pick three pictures for it and we will arrange them on the cube.  For the Puzzle Effect, you will need to pick only one picture, and we will do the rest.  You should try to limit the use of these effects to one per chapter as it can sometimes become too busy. 
 

Backgrounds:

Black is used as a default color for slide backgrounds, due to the fact that when slides transition from different sizes it blends nicely with the black boarders on your TV.  However we can use any color if you wish.  We can also use pictures as backgrounds for caption slides.
 

Menus:

Our menus are designed just like a chapter index on any DVD movie.  All we need from you is what you want to call each chapter.
